Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2, 2025
Nacelle (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is an event access and ticket management application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Nacelle mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
- Account and authentication: When you sign in (e.g. via OTP or QR login), we may collect and process contact information (such as phone number or email) and authentication tokens necessary to verify your identity and manage your session.
- Data stored on your device: The app stores your login token and preferences locally on your device (using the device’s local storage) to keep you signed in and to remember your settings.
- Usage and scan data: When you use features such as ticket scanning, party selection, and access control, the app sends relevant data (e.g. scan results, ticket and party identifiers) to our servers to validate access and provide event-related services.
- Camera: The app requests camera permission only to scan QR/barcodes for ticket and access verification. We do not record, store, or upload video or photos from your camera; only the scanned code data is sent to our systems.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and manage your access to events and parties.
- Process ticket scans and access control requests.
- Provide and improve the app’s functionality (e.g. event list, tier stats, ticket details).
- Keep your session secure and remember your preferences on your device.
3. Data Storage and Security
Authentication tokens and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Data sent to our servers is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
The app communicates with our backend services (e.g. hosted at nacellegrooves.com) for authentication and access control. We may use standard mobile platform services (e.g. for permissions and local storage). We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Withdraw camera permission in your device settings (scanning will not work without it).
- Sign out from the app, which stops further use of your stored token for API requests; local data on the device may remain until the app is uninstalled or data is cleared.
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.
If you are in a region that grants additional rights (e.g. access, correction, deletion, or portability), you may contact us using the details below to exercise them.
6. Children’s Privacy
Nacelle is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
